TWO WAYS – EASY and EASIER

WordPress comes packaged with it’s logo and back link on the login/logout page. Changing this to your own for branding and security purposes is not difficult. Here are two methods:

ADD SOME CODE TO YOUR FUNCTIONS FILE (EASY):

Copy the following code and place it in functions.php file of your active theme. Replace the image url with your own and save. If using this method, make these changes to your child theme, lest you will wipe them out with future WordPress and theme updates.

function my_login_logo_one() {
?>
<style type="text/css">
body.login div#login h1 a {
background-image: url(https://localhost/wordpress/one.jpeg); //Add your own logo image in this url
padding-bottom: 30px;
}
</style>
<?php
} add_action( 'login_enqueue_scripts', 'my_login_logo_one' );

USE A WORDPRESS PLUGIN (EASIER):

Login Logo Editor, the free plugin by Scott DeLuzio in the WordPress repository will get the job done. Upload your logo and optionally identify a path for on-click and include some alt text for mouse-over. Done.

THEN and NOW:
